These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Andrej Kurocenko ("we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of Cookt (the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Cookt is a web application that helps users organize their personal recipe collection. The Service includes:
- Importing recipes via text, images, PDFs, and documents
- AI-powered recipe extraction and formatting
- AI-generated dish images
- AI chat assistant ("Sous-chef") for recipe modifications
- Recipe organization with tags and search
- Recipe sharing features
3. USER ACCOUNTS
To use the Service, you must create an account using your email address. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. USER CONTENT
Your Recipes
You retain ownership of any recipes and content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Content Restrictions
You agree not to upload content that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malicious code or harmful content
- Is fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive
5. AI-GENERATED CONTENT
The Service uses artificial intelligence to:
- Extract and format recipe text from uploaded files
- Generate dish images
- Provide recipe suggestions and modifications via Sous-chef
AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or suitability of AI-generated recipes or cooking instructions.
6. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-uploaded content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
8. PAYMENT AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
The Service offers both free and premium tiers. For premium subscriptions:

- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
